Starship Gallery - Constitution
Original Configuration
Notes Three images show the original 11ft model after its renovation with the greenish "weathering". The images from Star Trek Mechanics depict the 5.5 ft studio model built by Greg Jein for DS9: "Trials and Tribble-ations". The Constellation from TOS: "The Doomsday Machine" is simply a damaged AMT model whose labels were rearranged to show "NCC-1017".
The widespread Fact Files schematics (later reproduced in Star Trek: The Magazine) are inaccurate. Most obviously, the nacelles are too large and too far apart, and the curvature of the engineering hull is wrong. Please don't use them for 3D models!
